Description
The full-day tour focuses on the Arenal Observatory Reserve and its surroundings, starting with an early morning pickup. You will search fields and open areas for species like Magpie-Jays and Seedeaters, check streams for Kingfishers, and then spend the majority of the day at the Lodge. The experience includes viewing the gardens and overlook, where fruit feeders attract a stunning variety of species (e.g., Honeycreepers, Tanagers, Toucans, and Great Curassows). The trails offer chances to see forest species like Motmots, Trogons, Manakins, and potentially rare finds like the Bare-necked Umbrellabird.
